Ensuring the client receives value is the cornerstone of our billing approach.
Our goal is to create a legal practice that serves the client’s needs, not ours, and leaves them with the feeling they received value for the work performed.
Unlike other law firms, we do not pass through overhead charges such as long distance telephone charges, internal copying charges, or standard U.S. postage. We absorb those costs as part of our overhead—not an opportunity to profit from “mark-ups,” or a way to pass overhead inefficiencies to our clients.
In addition to our hourly billing rates, we offer fixed fee and monthly or annual retainer arrangements.
Hourly Rate With Value Adjustment
It is not possible in every matter to create an alternative pricing arrangement. In those situations we will use the traditional hourly rate billing structure. That does not mean however, that a value-based component cannot be part of the fee arrangement. For all matters billed on an hourly rate, Dille Law scrutinizes the invoice prior to sending so that our clients will always receive the value of legal services provided.
Fixed Fee
Dille Law provides its basic estate planning services on an agreed-upon fixed fee. This works best because the firm has sufficient experience to price these services accurately. The agreed upon fixed fee shall be paid at the time of agreement; typically after the initial meeting. For more sophisticated planning and other matters, Dille Law may be able to quote a fee range so that the client may budget appropriately.
Monthly or Annual Fixed-Fee Retainer
This works best for clients that require legal advice on a consistent basis. The retainer amount is established by determining the amount of advice a client is likely to need on a monthly or an annual basis, and by pricing the lawyer’s time at a discount.
